Fondue-Uranus-SecureInternet7 is back
Due to failure in the Montreal data center, the Fondue-Uranus-SecureInternet7 mix proxy cascade was offline from Thursday last week to yesterday. After resolving the Montreal issue, the cascade is back in services again.

New York Hosting outage
Dear Customer,
currently all mix-servers located in our New York datacenter are down. The datacenter administration give us the following info.
Datacenter New York:
Unfortunately we have had a power transformer explode at our facility. This has resulted in the complete loss of power not just at our facility but for the entire building. Con Edison and our electricians are working diligently to resolve this situation. We expect power restored and to be fully back online within the next few hours. We greatly apologize for this inconvenience.

15 minutes planned maintenance for SecureInternet8 today
SecureInternet8, the middle mix of the Sushi-SecureInternet8-Venus mix proxy cascade, will need a 15 minutes nap today, July 28, almost probably at 23:00 UTC due to some hardware maintenance needed. We'll try to bring up the machine ASAP after things were done.

1 hour Internet breakdown yesterday in eastern canada
Various data centers near Montreal yesterday were affected by routing issues for approximately 1 hour (might also have been an attack). Two premium mix proxy cacades too were affected through this:

Free User Capacity increased by the HE-Freigeld Mix Proxy Servers
User capacity for free JonDonym mix proxy cascades were increased from 3,100 users to 4,100 users. In total with the capacity of the Dresden JAP cascade (of up to around additional 4,000 user) now up to 8,100 users can use the free services simultaneously.
The mix servers of the new HE-Freigeld are provided and managed by the TU Dresden JAP team and Zeitwort.

InfoService Malfunctions affect several Cascades
JonDonym's InfoService infrastructure shows malfunctions which in turn let several mix proxy cascades appear to be in trouble. In fact, the issue results from the InfoServices, not the mixes. We have informed JonDos and asked to resolve the issue.

Sushi-/Fondue Cascade outage analyzed/resolved
Between Thursday, last week and yesterday, two mix proxy cascades had a five day outage:
- Sushi-SecureInternet8-Venus
- Fondue-Uranus-SecureInternet7
Reason:
JonDos GmbH accidentally revoked certificates, needed for these two cascades.
The certificates affected were exchanged immediately on Monday.
